July 2009 sees us arrive at a batch of animated movies dedicated to our hero Marvel on DVD and Blu-ray. Produced by a brand new studio in association with Marvel Studios Lionsgate, have emerged feature films devoted to Iron Man, Doctor Strange , two films about Avengers (Ultimate version) and two average Films: Hulk vs. Wolverine Hulk vs Thor and without forgetting the original film in France, Next Avengers.
Lacking film version and less known to the general public that his superhero colleagues, I decided to throw my heart on the film of Dr Strange than Iron-man instance.
Dr. Stephen Strange is a doctor, a renowned neurosurgeon who agrees to treat the cases that come out of the ordinary (a bit like Dr. House) looking for more prestige than help his patients. But one day a car accident cost him the use of his hands terrifying synonymous with inability to operate. Graphiquement c'est très beau, les décors tous particulièrement sont très soignés. On passe d’un New-York très sombre à un Tibet lumineux en passant par des paysages plus "mystiques" avec enthousiasme. La mise en scène se veut également très travaillée et nous avons droit à un générique de début, dont la superbe musique "spirituelle" convient parfaitement au genre abordé. Sans être à la hauteur des gros studios d'animation, on peut dire que Marvel s'en est très bien tiré pour un premier essai, essai trop inégal pour être inoubliable.
Dommage que ce studio n’ait pas continué dans sa lancée pour nous sortir d’autres films d’animation et nous faire sortir de the shadow of other superheroes less glamorous than usual Spider-Man and X-Men animated series.
